The UT/x: ScanMaster’s Phased-Array Spot Weld Inspection
A complete battery of performance testing, including thickness accuracy checks, speed tests, prediction/correlation tests and repeatability tests was done during a recent visit to one of our UT/x users. All measurements were automatically documented and then statistically compared with destructed results.
The testing again proved that the UT/x is a highly accurate and fast solution for Spot Weld inspection in the automotive production line, with repeatability accurate even to the thousandths decimal place!
The image was taken during a speed test which reconfirmed that the UT/x is capable of reading, analyzing and classifying Spot Weld test results in a fraction of a second.
