LS-200BR Bar Inspection System completed Factory Acceptance Testing

Another LS-200BR automated ultrasonic inspection system for bars that we are preparing for shipment to a returning customer in Japan has just completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) phase at ScanMaster.
Over the past days, the system completed its final preparation stages. Laser-based geometrical measurements were carried out, the multi-probe inspection head was aligned, and the ultrasonic transducers were calibrated to support both longitudinal and shear wave inspection.
After filling the immersion tank with water, application inspection tests were successfully completed, verifying inspection stability and detection performance.

The system is designed for the automated ultrasonic inspection of bars used in demanding production environments and supports aerospace standards such as P3TF15, DFO-P29TF82-12, DMC0020, DMC0022 and SIM-14 RRP58002.

Key System Characteristics
• Bar rotator for production parts with diameters from 50 mm to 365 mm and lengths up to 6,000 mm
• Separate rotator for calibration bars up to 1,000 mm
• Multi-probe inspection head enabling both longitudinal and shear wave inspection
• Automated inspection designed for reliable and repeatable defect detection

With the system now undergoing Factory Acceptance Testing at ScanMaster, the final verification of system functionality and inspection performance is being completed prior to shipment.
