ScanMaster Receives the Frost & Sullivan’s Customer Value Leadership Award

“On the strength of its impressive product quality and customer services, ScanMaster Systems (IRT) has earned Frost & Sullivan’s 2018 Global Customer Value Leadership Award in immersion scanner systems for the non-destructive test equipment market.”

Background and Company Performance

In recent years, components and parts requiring ultrasonic inspection have become much more varied in size, shape and material. Complex parts often require double contour following, which demands sophisticated motion control hardware and software to ensure accuracy and repeatability. As a result, modern inspection systems need to meet the different requirements of customers without compromising on quality and production rate.

To meet these challenges, ScanMaster Systems (IRT) developed a series of ultrasonic inspection systems that can accommodate a large range of requirements. The flexibility of the software and hardware ensures that the systems can be customized for each client to be compatible with production capacities, application requirements and unique specifications of the range of parts being inspected. The scanners have a high level of automation that allows for scanning of a range of complex 3-D parts and convoluted shapes.

ScanMaster Systems (IRT) is one of the few companies that manufactures complete systems for their immersion scanners– including all major components–in-house. The software is also written in-house and is modular, allowing for scalability, reliability and increased production.

Excellence in Customer Value Leadership

Over the past three decades, ScanMaster has established its leadership by delivering cutting-edge inspection solutions that enable its customers to maximize productivity and improve quality. The company is committed to investing time and money in research and development in order to provide its customers with the products and solutions that fit their changing requirements.

According to the report issued by Frost & Sullivan, “ScanMaster Systems (IRT) understands that successful operations come from offering the best quality solutions and understanding and surpassing customer expectations. As part of its competitive strategy to maintain operational excellence, ScanMaster Systems (IRT) pays significant attention to the customers’ points of view and customizes products and solutions to its customers’ specific business models. Furthermore, ScanMaster engineers regularly evaluate the entire product line in relation to customer feedback—a process aimed at better understanding both customer challenges and their desired improvements—in order to continuously expand its offerings accordingly.”

David Gal, Executive Chairman and Owner of ScanMaster Systems (IRT), adds, “Our company has established expertise in developing UT technology for over 30 years. As requirements evolve, our customers demand better systems with improved productivity and better efficiency. One of our greatest challenges is building the bridge between our excellent technology and the needs of our customers, and I am happy to say that with our very talented and dedicated team, we have been successful in making those connections.”

Best Practices Award Analysis

According to Frost & Sullivan, Customer Value Leadership is defined and measured by two macro-level categories: Customer Impact and Business Impact. These two sides work together to make customers feel valued and confident in their products’ quality and long shelf life. This dual satisfaction translates into repeat purchases and a high lifetime of customer value.

For the Customer Value Leadership Award, Frost & Sullivan analysts independently evaluate these two macro categories according to specific criteria. Customer Impact criteria include price/performance value, purchase experience, service experience and more. Business impact criteria involve operational efficiency, growth potential and more. The analysts then incorporate these benchmarking criteria into a Decision Support Scorecard, a tool that assigns impact ratings on a scale of 1-10.

Following analysis, ScanMaster Systems received scores of 9 out of 10 in all fields of Customer and Business Impact on the Best Practices Award Decision Support Scorecard.
